Sherry Hager was born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Richardson, Texas. Ridgeland, MS has been her home since 1997. In her youth, she experienced plenty of opportunity for creative expression. Her passion for painting began with endless Sunday drives and vacation trips to rural settings.
In college she had the opportunity to pursue her art interest at Stephen F. Austin and East Texas State University. Several of her pastels and oil paintings have been purchased by private and corporate collectors. Throughout her artistic development, she has been influenced by many accomplished artists such as John Anderson, Bob Pennebaker, Diane Norman, Alan Flatmann, Margaret Kessler, Bob Rohm, Herbert Mays, Joh De La Vega, Roger Dale Brown, Robert Lemler, and Pat Walker-Fields. Sherry loves life and the beauty of nature. Through her paintings, she hopes to emotionally engage the viewer.
