Joy Colangelo

Joy Colangelo, a Pacific Grove, California resident, tried many different mediums before settling on fabric collage. First coming across the art of landscape quilting, but not wanting to take the time to sew the quilted stitches (which she thought only served to pucker the play of light), she decided to use glue as if they were collages. She says that even now, every time she completes and steps back from a collage, she is ‘struck with wonder’.
