Ronald McDonald Fundraiser
Brown’s Fine Art recently hosted a special reception for the board members of the Ronald McDonald House.
Brown’s has had the privilege of being involved with the Ronald McDonald House since its founding 21 years ago.
Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc supports the mission of Ronald McDonald Houses nationwide that offer a home away from home for families of children who must be hospitalized with critical illnesses. Usually these patients are in the ICU or NICU at a local hospital in most major cities. Families come from across Mississippi to stay at the Ronald McDonald House here in Fondren free of charge while their child is being treated at UMC, St. Dominic’s, Baptist and CMMC.
The board of the Ronald McDonald House Charities is made up of volunteers in the community as well as owners of McDonald’s restaurants across the state.
2012 Fundraiser
The Chocolate Ball is a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities that will take place every other year in August. It was started in August, 2010 and centered around a chocolate theme with treats donated from many local restaurants, bakeries and specialty stores in the metro. The first event raised close to $50,000 that was used toward programs and things associated with the Ronald McDonald House in Jackson on the UMC campus in Fondren. The next Chocolate Ball will be held at River Hills Club on August 25, 2012 and will feature the delectable sounds of Eden Brent and more great chocolates donated from around the metro.
